Stocks are taking a much-deserved breather this week, but so far in the stock market today we see nothing that suggests the end to this bull run. Just a rest. An orderly pullback.
We continue to look for opportunities in names that have been lagging the leaders. Our eyes are particularly drawn to stocks that have room to run as they play catchup to those that have already gone parabolic.
There is some risk in taking on a laggard, but the good thing is we’ll know if we’re wrong pretty quick, and can exit with little damage. But the potential reward can be worth it, especially when the market is in a good mood. And this market is definitely in a good mood.
